There will be a review for my first exam on Thursday 9/20 from 3:15pm to 5:30pm in GMCS 214. Everything I'll be covering is in the review notes posted here and on Blackboard, but if you prefer to have a guided review session, I'll be there to walk you through it!

I got tired of my computer geek site with the black background, so I've tossed it in favor of larger fonts and a less tech-y layout. I'm still moving over resources, so be patient!

Hopefully the first week of classes has gone smoothly. Before the add/drop period ends, I wanted to again stress the importance of the additional resources available to Stat 119 students:
  • Stat 296 sections: Especially for those students in they hybrid classes, these sections will allow you to get more one-on-one help from one of the many talented GTAs in the department. Additionally, these courses can help your grade in Stat 119 by boosting your quiz grade! If you want to know more about the 296 sections, drop in on one or ask your instructor.
  • Tutoring lab: Starting this week, the GTAs and myself will be in the tutoring lab. This is a great place to bring your laptop to work on online homework. Note that this service is meant to help you with problems with understanding, not to have GTAs teach you material you missed during class. See the tutoring lab schedule here.
